We are seeking an experienced Dashboard Developer with strong expertise in Power BI and Snowflake, along with hands-on experience in QA and data validation practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality dashboards and reports, while ensuring data accuracy, reliability, and performance through robust testing and validation processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI
- Develop efficient data models and semantic layers leveraging Snowflake as the data warehouse
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and validation
- Collaborate with data engineers to ensure seamless integration of data pipelines
- Perform end-to-end data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks across datasets
- Conduct QA activities including test case creation, execution, defect tracking, and resolution
- Validate business logic, KPIs, and calculations used in dashboards and reports
- Ensure performance optimization of dashboards (query performance, data refresh, usability)
- Implement best practices for data visualization, usability, and storytelling
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into actionable insights
- Support deployment, release management, and post-production validation
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5–7 years of experience in BI/dashboard development and data analytics
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI (DAX, Power Query, data modeling)
- Solid experience working with Snowflake data warehouse
- Advanced SQL skills for data analysis and validation
- Experience in QA/testing activities (data validation, ETL testing, UAT support)
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modeling techniques
- Experience with performance tuning and optimization of BI reports
- Familiarity with version control and deployment processes
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Azure data services (ADF, Azure SQL, Data Lake)
- Exposure to Tableau or other BI tools is a plus
- Knowledge of automation testing frameworks or scripting (Python, SQL-based testing)
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Understanding of data governance and data quality frameworks
