Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Cell and Molecular Biology
• Perform mammalian cell culture, primary cell culture, and cell-based functional assays.
• Conduct nucleic acid delivery and transfection using lipid- or polymer-based systems.
• Design, develop, and optimize experimental protocols for molecular biology techniques, including: RNA isolation,PCR and qRT-PCR, ELISA, SDS-PAGE, Western blotting
• Perform immunofluorescence staining, fluorescence microscopy, and confocal microscopy based imaging and analysis.
• Quantify and interpret imaging data using appropriate image analysis software.
Ophthalmic Research and Animal Studies
• Participate in the development, execution, and analysis of preclinical ophthalmic studies.
• Generate and characterize animal models relevant to ocular diseases, particularly corneal and retinal disorders.
• Perform animal handling, dosing, monitoring, tissue collection, and sample processing in accordance with institutional ethical guidelines.
• Conduct histological, molecular, and imaging-based assessments of ocular tissues.
Data Analysis and Scientific Communication
• Analyze experimental data using appropriate statistical methods and generate comprehensive reports.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and ensure compliance with data integrity standards.
• Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and experimental documentation.
• Prepare scientific figures, presentations, reports, manuscripts, and supporting documentation for internal and external communications.
• Present research findings during laboratory meetings, project reviews, and scientific discussions.
Research and Innovation
• Troubleshoot and optimize experimental workflows in a fast-paced research environment.
• Contribute to study design, hypothesis generation, and interpretation of scientific findings.
• Stay updated with current literature and emerging technologies in ophthalmology, molecular biology, and regenerative medicine.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams across academic, clinical, and industry partners.
Required Qualifications
• PhD in Ophthalmology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of postdoctoral experience in the relevant field
