Deputy Manager - Medical Advisor (MBBS/MD/BDS)

Job Description

Role Objective:

To support the execution of the marketing strategy by translating marketing goals for the team and ensuring the highest quality of scientific support is extended to both internal and external stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


1. Scientific Support to Customers

? Evaluate team resource, skill, and time capacity to engage on projects.
? Manage review mechanisms to ensure timely and accurate responses to product/therapy queries from doctors.
? Oversee and manage customer requests for medical writing and scientific articles.
? Evidence generation (Planning and executing real world evidence studies, managing Investigator Initiated Studies, gathering actionable insights from KoLs)

2. Support to Product Management Team (PMT)

? Provide strategic directives for the development of Scientific Communication kits.
? Translate broad marketing strategies into content-directed inputs for the team.
? Review team content for technical compliance (SOP-checks) and alignment with brand positioning.
? Approve and sign-off on all finalized scientific content.

3. Internal Programs & Course Management

? Participate in the annual planning of events with the marketing department.
? Lead program design (agenda and content) meetings with course directors.
? Conduct scientific sessions during quarterly cycle meetings.

4. New Product Launch & Knowledge Management

? Provide scientific insights during the planning process for new product launches.
? Ensure continued scientific support for 6 months to 1 year post-launch.
? Proactively share latest scientific updates and pharmaceutical industry trends with the PMT monthly.
? Maintain updated product portfolios and scan industry journals for relevant data.


STAKEHOLDER INTERACTION

Type of Interaction: Internal

? Interaction with: Product Management Team (PMT), Marketing Team, Internal Program Teams.
? Nature of Interaction: Strategic planning, content review, providing medical updates, and aligning content with brand strategy.

Type of Interaction: External

? Interaction with: Customers (Doctors), Course Directors, Key Opinion Leaders (KoL).
? Nature of Interaction: Addressing medical queries, program design collaboration, and conducting value-added KoL meetings.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

Professional Experience and Relevant Skills

? Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical or scientific services sector.
? Experience Context: Strategic planning, medical writing review, team management, and ability to translate marketing goals into technical content.
? Network: Ability to manage and grow a Key Opinion Leader (KoL) database.
? Understanding the use of AI platforms would be a plus.

Academic Qualifications & Certifications

? Educational Qualification: Minimum qualification of MBBS or BDS ONLY.
? Desired Qualification: MD (Doctor of Medicine/Pharmacology).
