Manager (Marketing Compliance & Strategic Buying)

Job Description

Job Objective

The primary objective of this role is:

Strategic Buying: Lead the procurement and contracting for diverse indirect categories, including Marketing Services (Media/Creative), Logistics, IT Services (SaaS), R&D Services, and various consumables.

Compliance & Audit Management: Manage internal audits by preparing Business Units (BUs), handling audit observations, drafting management responses, and ensuring the closure of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).

Key Job Responsibilities


1. Sourcing & Category Management

Manage key spend categories such as IT SaaS subscriptions, Logistics, R&D services, and Marketing Media/Creative.
Drive business toward preferred suppliers to prevent dilution of business share and avoid vendor proliferation.
Oversee the renewal of IT agreements, Indirect services Master Service Agreements (MSAs), and ensure timely updates of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Simplify sourcing processes to improve overall efficiency.

2. Approval & Workflow Management

- Review and approve New Vendor Approvals (including HCOs) and Purchase Orders (POs) as per the Delegation of Authority (DoA).
- Manage the end-to-end ARIBA sourcing project review and approval process.
- Approve Quote Comparison Reports (QCRs) and sourcing agreements with a target Turnaround Time (TAT) of 2 working days.

3. Audit, Compliance & SPIs

Audit Preparation: Actively prepare sites and Business Units for internal process audits.

Post-Audit Management: Support the drafting of management responses to audit observations and ensure functional heads complete necessary post-audit actions.

Process Improvement: Identify process gaps to proactively improve compliance and limit future audit observations.

Strategic Initiatives: Participate in the Strategic Project Initiatives (SPI) process and contribute ideas to business initiatives.

4. Stakeholder & External Interaction

Internal Collaboration: Coordinate with all functions at the Head Office and Plants for joint tasks, providing insights and influencing outcomes.

External Relations: Negotiate with vendors and agents, resolve queries, and network with industry peers to stay informed.

Reporting: Provide regular updates and seek resolutions from the SVP of Marketing Compliance and Strategic Buying.
