Join us, the future is ours to shape!As an HCM Product Expert, you will play a critical role in the design, configuration, enhancement, and ongoing support of Workday Compensation solutions that enable and optimize global rewards and compensation processes. Serving as a trusted partner to P&O, Total Rewards, Digital & Technology, and business stakeholders, you will translate business requirements into scalable, sustainable product capabilities and drive continuous improvement across the compensation technology landscape.
You will act as the subject matter expert for Workday Advanced Compensation and Core Compensation, supporting global compensation cycles, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering innovative solutions that enhance user experience, process efficiency, data integrity, and compliance.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Partner with Global P&O, Total Rewards, and business stakeholders to understand compensation requirements and translate them into scalable and sustainable Workday solutions.
Configure, maintain, and optimize Workday Advanced Compensation capabilities, including:
Merit Planning
Bonus Planning
Stock and Long-Term Incentive Programs
Compensation Review Statements
Compensation Guidelines and Eligibility Rules
Support, maintain, and enhance Workday Core Compensation configurations, business processes, and workflows. Serve as the product expert for compensation-related functionality, providing guidance on Workday capabilities, best practices, and future enhancements.
Configure and maintain Workday security roles and access controls to ensure the protection of sensitive compensation data and compliance with organizational policies.
Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, calculated fields, and analytics to support compensation planning, decision-making, and operational reporting. Lead requirements gathering sessions, facilitate stakeholder workshops, and perform impact assessments for new business initiatives and enhancement requests.
Coordinate and execute testing activities, including test strategy development, test script creation, defect management, regression testing, and user acceptance testing. Create and maintain functional documentation, process maps, knowledge articles, training materials, and support documentation.
Deliver end-user training and provide operational support during annual compensation and reward cycles. Collaborate with integration, reporting, and technical teams to deliver seamless end-to-end HCM solutions.
Evaluate Workday releases and feature updates to identify opportunities for process optimization and enhanced business value. Contribute to product roadmap planning and continuous improvement initiatives across the broader HCM product portfolio.
Essential Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
Strong experience configuring and supporting Workday Core Compensation, including compensation-related business processes and workflows.
Working knowledge of Business Processes and Advanced Compensation
Working knowledge of Workday Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), including experience supporting data loads, mass data updates, and inbound and outbound data integrations.
Experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements and facilitating stakeholder workshops.
Experience supporting testing activities, including defect resolution, solution validation, and user acceptance testing.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with the ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to lead workstreams, manage competing priorities, and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams. Proven stakeholder management experience within a global and matrixed environment.
Desirable Requirements
Workday Compensation Certification.
Experience supporting global compensation planning cycles and annual reward processes.
Experience developing and maintaining Workday Reports, Calculated Fields, and Dashboards.
Exposure to Agile product delivery methodologies and ways of working.
Experience working within a global pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences organization.
Understanding of broader Workday HCM processes, architecture, and downstream integrations.
Experience contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and product enhancement roadmaps.
